FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the ticket prices?
During the event, tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and FREE for children grade-school-aged and younger.

Is there a coupon for discount tickets?
No coupon needed!  Go to straymond.net in the month of June to buy advance tickets for $5.  Great way to avoid lines at the gate!  Each ticket is good for one day’s admittance. (Sorry, this offer will not be available on July 1-2.)

Is this a cash-only event?
Nope.  We can take debit/credit cards at the gate for entry, drink coupons and merchandise.  Our food vendors are independent and likely require cash.   Sorry, we will not have an ATM on site.

Can I come and go throughout the day?
Yes!   You will have a colored wristband that will allow you to leave and reenter.

Where should I park?
The majority of our parking lot will be used for the Homecoming Fest grounds, so we kindly ask that you park at the University of St. Francis lot at the northeast corner of Douglas and Wilcox Streets.  It’s less than a block to the Homecoming Fest grounds.  We will provide shuttles for those who need it.

Parking for seniors and those with a handicapped placard will be available in the north parking lot adjacent to the Cathedral.

Additional parking is in the neighborhood.  Always park carefully and legally, and please be respectful of our neighbors.

What if it rains or it’s hot?
Barring storms, Homecoming Fest is a rain or shine event.  We will have covered seating outside as well as seating inside in the air-conditioned Commons.  We are hoping we have a connection on the weather.

Are the festival grounds accessible?
Yes, all areas of our campus are fully accessible.

Please note that parking for seniors and those with a handicapped placard will be available in the north parking lot adjacent to the Cathedral.

Accessible restrooms can be found inside the Commons hallway.  Please enter the building at door 26.

What can I bring?

Guests are welcome to bring bag chairs, strollers, small backpacks and diaper bags.

For the convenience and safety of all, please do not bring large backpacks, coolers, umbrellas, tents, tables, fireworks, firearms.

You may not bring outside food or drink into the festival grounds. The Joliet Police reserve the right to search all bags and purses.
