Ms. Keenon

Music

My name is Holly Keenon and this is my sixth year teaching music at St. Ray’s. All students have music. Early Childhood will see me once a week, and kindergarten through eighth grade students twice per week. Students will receive an effort grade in music class. You can best reach me via email at hkeenon@csrn.org.

I was born and raised in Joliet. As a child I attended Holy Family School, then Joliet West. I earned a BA in music, and an MA in education from Lewis University in Romeoville. I have been playing the violin for 31 years, and had the honor of studying with some excellent violinists. Ever since I can remember I have been performing with orchestras, teaching private lessons, and playing for weddings and church services. For two years I was concertmaster for the Joliet Symphony Orchestra, based out of the University of St. Francis.

There will be some wonderful music related events this year at St. Raymond’s. Stay tuned as more information will be coming out in the upcoming weeks.

Here is an outline of musical topics I will be covering at each grade level:
Early Childhood, Kindergarten, 1st Grade: Songs based on seasons/holidays/events at school
