Welcome Stacy Sienko

Director of Music

Stacy Sienko is the music director for Saint Raymond Nonnatus Parish. She has been a parishioner, cantor, and pianist for the last 7 years at the Cathedral. Stacy heard God’s call to minister at a greater capacity. Through much prayer and trust in the Lord, she came to humbly accept the role as director. Her faith is first and foremost and the guiding force in her professional and personal life.

Mrs. Sienko received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from North Park University in Chicago and holds current licensure for K-12 music with endorsements in Senior High School and Middle School music. She taught in Catholic and public elementary and high school classrooms in Chicago, Oswego, and Joliet for the last ten years. Her previous choirs performed at Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, New York City, Kane County Cougars, and locally. She is well-versed in leading special programs like Christmas and other holiday concerts, Veteran’s Day, musicals, and recitals. She was part of many committees including Leadership,Technology, Discipline, and District Honor Choir. Mrs. Sienko also teaches private piano and voice lessons. Currently, Stacy is working on her Master’s Degree in Music Education through Kent State University.

Mrs. Sienko’s professional music career led her to sing the National Anthem at Camden Yard in Baltimore, on the Rialto stage, throughout Chicagoland, Wisconsin, and the East coast. She also plays many instruments including the piano, organ, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, saxophone, flute, and others. She recorded an album of original music called “Chain of Hearts” in 2006.

Stacy’s philosophy is simple: To create meaningful and beautiful music that enhances the worship experience. Because of her participation in our community over the last 7 years, she is understanding of our congregation and what they look for in worship and parish life. Her main objective is to be a listener and advocate for our parishioners and provide music that is becoming to all. She believes that she can give our parish a unique musical voice, grow our youth music ministry program, engage our congregation musically and, in turn, help us grow in our own faith. She has an all-inclusive mindset and will work with anyone interested in music ministry. Her teacher-based leadership skills give her an innate understanding of how to nurture others’ musical interests while being cognizant of different styles, abilities, and comfort levels.
